Today we have been discovering the ‘Magic in maths’ by celebrating @nspcc_official Number Day. 🪄🧮
From a fantastic assembly led by Year 6 to treasure hunts, estimation stations and maths quizzes designed by Year 6.
An inspirational focus on how maths is included in everything we do, from counting money, measuring how tall we are, counting how many goals we have scored and telling the time.

Today our children joyfully celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year with a day full of exciting learning and cultural exploration!🧧🥢
They discovered the fascinating story behind the zodiac animals, explored ancient China through VR, and practiced writing in Mandarin.
Our pre-schoolers had a fantastic time role-playing in their very own Chinese restaurant and colouring in their birthday zodiac signs. It was a wonderful way to embrace the rich history and traditions of this special celebration!

🌟 Children’s Mental Health Week 🌟
This week, we’re celebrating @_place2be Children’s Mental Health Week, focusing on the importance of emotional wellbeing and looking after our minds 💙🧠
Our pupils took part in some fantastic activities, including a whole-school collaborative colouring sheet, offering a moment of calm and teamwork during lunchtime. 🎨
Our Health and Wellbeing Council, made up of pupils from Year 1 to Year 6, also took the lead in reading thought-provoking stories about emotions and wellbeing in class, sparking meaningful discussions about feelings and how we can support each other. 📚

Year 6 Residential - Day 5 ☀️🪨
The last morning @aretecentre and the dream team headed out to the shores of Lake Padarn to tackle some rock climbing and abseiling. This required plenty of determination and teamwork. 👏
The class have said their fond farewells and are on the coach home. We can’t wait to hear all about their trip next week.

Year 6 Residential - Day 4! 🧗🛶
After a detailed weather forecast and a hearty breakfast, the team were off for a spot of zip lining where all pupils (and staff) made the brave step off the rock face and got their adrenaline pumping!
They then headed down to the beautiful Lake Padarn for a spot of canoeing surrounded by stunning scenery and the snow tipped Mount Snowden in the background. They put their skills to the test with chopping wood, igniting fires and then toasting some marshmallows.
The evening was just as testing with some team building activities that proved more challenging than expected!
