After a final breakfast, we headed to Lake Padarn for canoeing 🛶 A perfect final challenge, with teamwork, trust and communication on full display. A calm end to a week of courage, growth and proud moments - tired, fulfilled and heading home! 🏠

🧗 Year 6 residential, North Wales 🧗
The final full day was the toughest yet 🌬️ From rock climbing in wild Welsh winds to waterfall climbs, picnic moments, teamwork, and even a brave wild swim - resilience, courage and big smiles all round!

🌊 Year 6 Residential at Rhosneigr Beach ☀️
A day of coastal learning and adventure on Anglesey! The children explored the rocks by scrambling and investigating the shoreline, learning about tides and the power of the waves. A beach scavenger hunt encouraged curiosity as they discovered mermaid’s purses, whelk eggs, shells and more.
The afternoon challenged courage and teamwork with a zip line across the sea and a cliff-top clip line as waves crashed below. We finished the beach session with a well-deserved hot chocolate and a play in the waves.
After dinner, we visited Dolbadarn Castle to stargaze and discuss the impact of light pollution on wildlife and the environment.

🏔️ Year 6 Residential, Arête, North Wales 🏴
The first two days have been action-packed! Pupils prepared by learning how to safely use their harnesses at a local slate quarry on Day 1, before an evening coastal walk to Caernarfon Castle.
On Day 2, they persevered as they headed underground into the Rhiwbach slate mines, tackling zip lines, abseils and rock climbs, before confidently performing as a team to escape via a vertical air shaft.
So proud of their courage, teamwork and resilience 💪✨

🎭 Behold this medley of Shakespearean splendour 🎭
Plucked from the most ferociously gifted contenders of the ISA Shakespearean Monologue competition. From Year 4 upward, our cherubic thespians gallantly grappled with the Bard’s most delectable soliloquies, rolling his words upon their tongues with a devotion that would make even Sir Laurence Olivier weep into his velvet doublet.
What’s more, our Year 6 luminaries, our fearless auteurs, did not merely perform Shakespeare - they became him. Inspired by his immortal characters, they penned original monologues of such wit, gravitas and emotional musculature that one can only assume the Bard himself was whispering encouragement from the ether.
Thank you Mrs W for sharing your love of Shakespeare with the pupils and inspiring them to take part in such a wonderful competition!
