Pre-school EYF fees per term.

(Minimum sessions are 4 per week.)

Morning sessions are from 8.30am to 12pm and exclude lunch.

Afternoon sessions are from 12pm to
3.30pm and include lunch.

Full day sessions are from 8.30am to 3.30pm and include lunch.

Activity clubs at various costs
Registration Fee per child £250. £300 (inclusive of VAT, non-refundable)
Deposit per child £1500 refunded after the final account has been cleared.

Humanitas charity donation – optional: £10 per term

Whilst we receive Early Years Funding (EYF), we also raise a charge for consumables in order to sustain the Pre-school.

Consumables covers items such as specialist teaching for French, PE, music, drama; home reading books; wide range of art materials e.g. clay, sequins, paint etc.; guest speakers such as authors, midwives, police etc.; access to themed weeks e.g. science week, DT day; whole school events e.g. Fairy Tale Ball, Fun days, Bouncy Castle; trips to rye, fire station etc.; parent training sessions; laminated photos, handmade gifts for Easter, Father’s Day etc.; Christmas Fair & gift from Santa; all stationery; a personalised Learning Journey; Pre-school graduation ceremony; snacks; milk; cooked lunch; spare clothes for accidents; wipes, tissues, hand gel.

Additionally, the Pre-school is open for an extra half an hour beyond the 3 hour funded session each morning and afternoon.

For parents wishing to access their funded hours only, we have very limited places available. The 15 hour place is available over 5 sessions and the 30 hour place is available over 9 sessions. These very limited places are denoted as Standalone places and the charge for these places is £0. These Standalone places are allocated on a first come first served basis. If you wish to add your name to the waiting list for these places, please inform the Registrar.

Please note that Crown House School is open for 34.6 weeks per academic year. Therefore, parents will not be accessing their full entitlement of 38 weeks x 15 hours = 570 hours or 38 weeks x 30 hours
= 1140 hours. The unused element per term can be accessed at another setting during each relevant term.

Children must be age-eligible for Early Years Funding. The relevant dates are: –

• Children turning 3 between 1st January and 31st March – the start of the subsequent summer term
• Children turning 3 between 1st April and 31st August – the start of the subsequent autumn term
• Children turning 3 between 1st September and 31st December – the start of the subsequent spring term

SPLIT FUNDING AT CROWN HOUSE SCHOOL – BUCKS COUNCIL RULES

• Funding can be term-time only or stretched over the whole year. Day nurseries usually use stretched funding because they are open all year round. Schools use term-time funding.
• Parents can split the 15 hours across settings but the settings must be of the same offer type. This means that the other setting must be a term-time setting because Crown is a term-time setting. Cannot split the Universal 15 hours between settings of different types.
• Parents who have a valid 30 hour code and want to split their funding across the same offer type (this will mean term-time because Crown is a term-time setting), CAN split their funding BUT ONLY FROM THE START OF TERM OR AT A HALF-TERM POINT. For example, take the Universal 12 hours in one setting and take the Residual 18 Hours at the other setting. Re 30H code – if parents want to start/switch settings for the Extended hours element then the 30H code must not be in the Grace Period; also the code must be renewed before the setting can commence a 30H claim.
• Parents who have a valid 30 hour code and want to split their funding across different offer types must take their entire additional 15 hours at the different offer type. This means take the Universal 15 hours in one setting and take the Extended 15 Hours at the other setting.
  Cannot use Residual hours across settings of different types, the unused hours are lost.
• Parents who are already at a one type of offer (stretched/term-time) and want to switch/add a different type of offer, can only do so at the start of a term, not part way through a term.
